Main news | By Correspondent November 2, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Qredits Curaçao opened a new office at 37 Schottegatweg Oost yesterday. This happened in the presence of Prime Minister Gilmar 'Pik'Pisas, Minister of Economic Affairs Ruisandro Cijntje, Jandino Asporaat (USC), Operational Director of Qredits Roy Spit and Branch Manager Raiska Herrera. The kick-off of the Small Business Academy (SBA) also took place during the opening.

Qredits offers entrepreneurs help with credit, coaching and tools. They have been doing this on the island for three years. Entrepreneurs can take out a business loan of up to 100,000 guilders for the start and growth of their business. The old office was too small, so Qredits opened a new one. The new office is located in the financial heart of Curaçao, leaving room for growth.

Jandino Asporaat was present at the kick-off of the SBA. He is a representative of The United States of The Caribbean. Asporaat is committed to promoting entrepreneurship in Curaçao. Together with Qredits, he acts for the well-being of the entrepreneurial climate.

The aim of the Academy is to help entrepreneurs successfully start and run a business. The organization offers the opportunity to educate entrepreneurs and make them aware of the meaning of planning, thinking and acting like an entrepreneur. In ten teaching weeks, the entrepreneurs write their business plan and financial plan. They receive knowledge about business laws and regulations in Curaçao. In week ten, the participants will have the opportunity to present their plan to the jury and certificates will be handed out.
