WILLEMSTAD - The service of internet and telephone provider Flow is not adequate. The Curaçao Security Association writes this to Minister of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP) Charles Cooper. The network would not provide sufficient capacity for the existing communication systems in Curaçao.
According to the organization, in the event of a power failure, the alarm system to which homes and businesses are connected will also fail. The CSA also denounces the provider's monopoly position.
Flow regrets the letter to the minister. In a response, the company says that it is not the only market player that offers internet to security companies.
In addition, security companies have not adapted their own systems to new technological changes, according to Flow in its response.
