In Curaçao there is currently little chance of infection, and students do not fall under the risk groups, the government says. The number of corona infections on the island is limited. In total, 32 infections have been registered since March. This week, an infection was registered with a crew member of a cruise ship that is in the port without passengers. The patient is isolated on the ship. Furthermore, there are no active cases on the island.
In contrast, the number of people who test positive for the coronavirus in St. Maarten and Aruba continues to rise sharply. For example, Aruba reported on Wednesday that 681 people on the island are currently infected with the coronavirus, compared to six hundred a day earlier. Sint Maarten reported an increase from a hundred cases on Tuesday, to 129 on Wednesday.
