WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Finance Javier Silvania temporarily changes the Tax-holiday rules for investors. This should make it more attractive to come to Curaçao and invest.
Currently, an investor only gets a tax exemption if eighty percent of a project is made available to foreigners. But because of the corona pandemic, there are not many foreigners on Curaçao.
From now on, an exemption will be issued if twenty percent or more of the house or apartment owners or tenants are foreigners.
According to the Ministry of Finance, with this change, an investment of approximately 180 million guilders can be expected in 2021.
