Visa requirement for Venezuelans

Main news | By Curaçao government December 23, 2020

WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - Venezuelans need a visa from January 15, 2021 to enter Curaçao. Venezuelan passport holders in Venezuela must apply for a Caribbean visa to travel to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom, including Curaçao, at the external service provider VFS Global in Caracas, the government said in a statement.

Venezuelan passport holders outside of Venezuela can apply for a visa at a Kingdom Embassy or a VSF Global branch, depending on their location.

In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken several measures that have consequences for the opening and accessibility of Kingdom embassies and consulates worldwide.

For the time being, people cannot go to the embassies and consulates without an appointment, so visa holders should temporarily approach the Directorate of Foreign Relations in Curaçao with their request for an appointment for a visa application.

The management will forward this to the relevant embassy or external service provider, after which the applicant can apply for his visa in accordance with the usual procedure. A request for an appointment for a visa application can be mailed to consulaire.dbb@gobiernu.cw

The costs for a visa are € 80. The government points out in a statement that travelers should take into account that VFS Global may charge an amount for its services.

Travelers should also take into account the entry restriction as a result of COVID-19.
