WILLEMSTAD - On October 22, 2024, the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout, hosted a welcome reception in honor of the visit of the President of the Republic of Suriname, Mr. C. Santokhi, and his wife, Mrs. M. Santokhi-Seenacherry, to Curaçao.
The Surinamese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. A. Ramdhin, was also in attendance. The visit of the Surinamese President to Curaçao focuses on strengthening and expanding the bilateral relationship between Curaçao and Suriname.
In her welcoming speech, the Governor highlighted the longstanding close ties between the two countries. She expressed her optimism for a shared and hopeful future, marked by friendship and deep cooperation between the Republic of Suriname and Curaçao.
