SCHIPHOL – Airline KLM announced on Monday that approximately 300 flights to and from Schiphol Airport have been cancelled due to snowfall. The airline warned that the number of cancellations could increase further as weather conditions continue to affect airport operations. While European and regional flights are heavily impacted, long-haul traffic, including routes to Curaçao, has so far remained relatively stable.

KLM said reduced runway capacity caused by snow and ongoing de-icing operations has forced the airline to significantly scale back its schedule. Passengers are advised to closely monitor their flight status throughout the day.
Updates on Curaçao-bound flights
As of 10:15 a.m. Dutch time, TUI flight OR381 is experiencing delays. The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 12:15 p.m., but the updated departure time is now 3:53 p.m.
Earlier, at 10:00 a.m., KLM flight KL735, which was scheduled to depart at 10:45 a.m., was also delayed. The new estimated departure time for that flight is 1:00 p.m.
Despite the large number of cancellations earlier in the day, intercontinental flights to Curaçao were initially operating according to schedule. KLM flight KL735 was still listed for departure at 10:45 a.m. with an expected arrival in Willemstad at 3:45 p.m. local time, while KLM flight KL733 remained scheduled for departure at 3:00 p.m. without delay.
At TUI, no major disruptions were initially reported on Curaçao routes. Flight OR365, scheduled to depart at 11:15 a.m. Dutch time, was set to arrive in Curaçao at 4:55 p.m. local time. Flight OR381 was also originally expected to depart at 12:15 p.m., with an estimated arrival in Willemstad at 7:50 p.m., before the later delay was announced.
Although Schiphol is experiencing widespread disruption due to winter weather, air traffic to Curaçao appears, for now, to be less affected than short-haul European flights. Travelers are nonetheless strongly advised to keep checking airline apps and official airport channels for the latest updates, as conditions may change throughout the day.
