WILLEMSTAD – A special aircraft from Germany landed at Curaçao International Airport Hato on Tuesday morning at around 9:00 a.m. to repatriate passengers of Corendon who have been stranded on the island. The repatriation flight was arranged to ensure that travelers affected by earlier disruptions can return safely to the Netherlands.
The aircraft is an Airbus A340-313 operated by the German airline Universal Sky Carrier. The plane departed from Frankfurt on Monday evening and arrived in Curaçao as scheduled early Tuesday.
According to the flight plan, the aircraft is set to depart again later this evening at approximately 7:00 p.m., heading back to the Netherlands. The operation is being carried out in cooperation with W2Fly and Corendon, which leased the aircraft specifically for this repatriation mission.
With the deployment of this additional flight, Corendon aims to reduce the inconvenience faced by affected passengers and transport them to their final destination as quickly as possible.
