WILLEMSTAD – Tourism continues to play a central role in Curaçao’s economic performance, according to the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) and the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB). The organizations made the statement in response to the latest visitor figures and broader economic developments.

In November 2025, Curaçao welcomed 65,378 stay-over visitors, representing a 9 percent increase compared to the same month last year. Europe once again emerged as the island’s largest source market, followed by North and South America. The most notable growth was recorded among visitors from South America.

From January through November, Curaçao received more than 707,000 stay-over tourists, marking a year-on-year increase of 13 percent.

According to CHATA, these figures underscore the economic importance of the tourism sector. The industry body pointed to the December 2025 Economic Bulletin published by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, which concluded that economic growth in the monetary union is largely driven by tourism.

The growth in tourism has a ripple effect across multiple sectors, including hospitality, transportation, retail, and construction, while also contributing to higher tax revenues and increased employment.

CHATA and CTB emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between public and private stakeholders to ensure that tourism growth remains sustainable and well-balanced, safeguarding both economic benefits and the quality of life on the island.
