WILLEMSTAD – Travel company TUI has scheduled a second special recovery flight to transport passengers who were stranded following recent flight disruptions. The additional flight, operated by TUI fly, is planned for Wednesday, January 7, and is intended to ease the pressure caused by what TUI describes as a force majeure situation.

The special flight will depart from Amsterdam and make stopovers on Bonaire and Curaçao. Passengers traveling from the Netherlands to the islands will be transported on the outbound leg, while stranded travelers on Bonaire and Curaçao will be able to return to the Netherlands on the same flight.

According to a TUI spokesperson, passengers eligible for this special service are being informed directly via text message and email. “TUI continues to make every possible effort to resolve the consequences of this force majeure situation as effectively as possible for all our travelers,” the spokesperson said.

Travelers currently stranded in Amsterdam who were scheduled to travel to Curaçao or Bonaire may also use this special flight. They have likewise received a text message with booking instructions.

With this additional deployment, TUI aims to minimize the disruption experienced by both departing and returning holidaymakers and to normalize travel operations as quickly as possible.
