WILLEMSTAD – A British tourist died on Sunday following a drowning incident at Directeursbaai. The incident occurred late in the morning while the victim was swimming.
At approximately 11:40 a.m., a patrol unit of the Politur was alerted by a bystander who reported that a man was being resuscitated after encountering difficulties in the water. Police immediately requested an ambulance to attend the scene.
Upon arrival, ambulance personnel determined that further medical assistance was no longer possible. A police physician later confirmed the death at the location.
Police confirmed that the victim held the nationality of the United Kingdom. Further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been released.
