WILLEMSTAD – The newly appointed Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Willemstad, Thomas Aardenburg, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort, on Friday, January 30, 2026.
During the visit, an introductory meeting took place in which the role and responsibilities of the Honorary Consul were discussed. Aardenburg was accompanied by Nerissa Romero, a representative of the Directorate of Foreign Relations.
The jurisdiction of the Honorary Consul of Germany covers Curaçao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius and Saba.
