WILLEMSTAD - The Public Works Department, Openbare Werken (OW), has announced that road maintenance work will take place on Hermesweg starting Monday, February 9, 2026. The works are expected to last approximately two weeks and will be carried out during daytime hours.
The project involves repairs to the elevated intersection in the area. The execution of the works has been contracted to construction company Aliansa.
During the maintenance period, the road will be closed to through traffic. Residents and businesses located in the area will continue to have access to their homes and premises as usual. For other motorists who normally use Hermesweg, alternative routes will be available and clearly indicated by traffic controllers and warning signs.
OW is urging all drivers to exercise caution in and around the work zone and to follow the indicated detours to ensure safety for both road users and workers.
