WILLEMSTAD – Police arrested a man yesterday afternoon who is suspected of robbing a tourist near Iguana Café in the Punda area.
According to police information, the robbery took place in the late afternoon. After committing the act, the suspect fled on foot in the direction of Otrobanda. Thanks to a swift response by police units in Otrobanda, the suspect was located and detained shortly afterward.
The man was taken to a police station for further investigation. Authorities have not yet released details about the condition of the victim or whether any stolen items have been recovered.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
